About Us

Thank you for your interest in our Australian income tax return services for overseas property owners.

Our practice, which was established in 1986, provides taxation, accounting services, business and financial advice to companies, businesses and individuals.

The principals of the practice, Mr Mark Heffernan, Mr Neil Crawford and Mr Lawrence Cumper, have extensive experience in both taxation and accounting. All are members of CPA Australia.

   
Services

The services provided by our practice for our overseas clients include:

Processing of the completed Tax File Number Application form with the Australian Taxation Office.
Preparation and lodgement of income tax returns.
Liasing with the Australian Taxation Office.


   
Cost

The cost of the service per Overseas Client Income Tax Return will be as follows:

$230 - Preparation and lodgement of income tax return with 1 rental property.
$160 - Preparation and lodgement with 1 rental property and 2 owners (cost per person)
$250 - Preparation and lodgement with 2 rental properties.
$350 - Preparation and lodgement with 3 rental properties
$210 - Preparation and lodgement with 2 rental properties and 2 owners (cost per person)

Our fee can be deducted from the rental income received and is tax deductible.

 

   
What do I need to do?

To utilise our service you need to do the following:

Apply for a Tax File Number (click on the following link)
http://www.ato.gov.au/content/Professionals/6979.htm

Complete the "Overseas Clients Questionnaire" available on this website. The information required are Part A, B, C and D of the forms attached. Please note that each page should be signed and dated.

Take your Proof of Identity Documents to the nearest Australian Embassy and ask for certified copies. Please note some embassies may charge for this service.

Sign and date the declaration at Part E.

Forward your information to our office.
Please note if the property is owned jointly, each owner must complete an "Overseas Clients Questionnaire" form and lodge an Income Tax Return.
If you already have a Tax File Number you do not have to complete an application form.
